Dr. Scott A. Dreyer is the Executive Director of VIP Transitions and Performance Insight LLC in Charleston, SC. He has been providing voluntary & professional performance enhancement services for individuals, teams, and organizations for the past 19 years. He utilizes cutting-edge technology and research to enhance personal and organizational performance. Dr. Dreyer specializes in performance coaching, personal development, career coaching/consultation, talent management, and life balance.
Dr. Dreyer delivers sustainable performance coaching services to individuals, athletes, artists and business professionals. His passion lies in helping others to achieve their desired life path. With a focus on maximizing human potential, he often helps individuals to remove both internal and external obstacles that prevent peak performance. Dr. Dreyer also facilitates and directs clients toward finding and realizing best-fit or ideal careers. With an expertise in human behavior, emotion, and motivation, his clients increase self-awareness, acquire new tools/skills, and develop the confidence needed to achieve their goals and create life satisfaction.
In terms of corporate experience, he contracts with for-profit and governmental agencies at the local, regional and national levels. He delivers talent management services for organizations, executives and employees. Dr. Dreyer helps corporations to maximize leadership potential, develop cohesive teams, manage stress, increase employee productivity, improve morale and retention, and strategically optimize & direct talent strengths. He works with leaders to better identify, select, and develop top performing employees. His specialty lies in understanding human behavior and personality. This ability allows Dr. Dreyer to guide leaders toward "career-optimization." - That is, helping leaders to best place employees in order to maximize their strengths and mitigate their weaknesses.
Dr. Dreyer is an experienced educator and lecturer (trainer) and frequently conducts workshops and seminars with businesses, collegiate programs, medical institutions, sport facilities and community organizations. He is certified by internationally renowned industrial/organizational psychologists to provide scientifically-valid and reliable assessments to assist with performance coaching, personnel development, career guidance, employee selection, talent management, and leadership development. His focus remains on understanding & developing human behavior, motivation & performance.
Originally from Rockville Centre, NY, Dr. Dreyer obtained his BA in Behavioral Neuroscience with a minor in Psychology from Lehigh University, PA. Upon graduation, he went on to earn his M.S. in Counseling Psychology at the University of Kentucky. Dr. Dreyer received his doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from Spalding University in Louisville, KY. His doctoral dissertation specialized in understanding personality and its connection to employee turnover. His internship was completed in Denver, CO and his post-doctoral training took place in Charleston, SC at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Dreyer is licensed as a psychologist by the state of South Carolina (2001). He lives in Mt. Pleasant, SC with his wife and son.
